I graduated from Auckland University, Bachelor of Optometry, in 1988. I started at Papanui Optometrists in 1990 and became a partner in 2004. In 2010 I became the sole owner, changing the name to Papanui Eyes.

I enjoy the ongoing care we provide. It’s not just a business of supplying eyewear, it’s caring for the people’s eyesight. People keep coming back, they seem to appreciate our honest, friendly approach.

In 2010 I completed my Ocular Therapeutics qualification. This is a post – graduate course that allows prescribing of eye medications. It is an interesting, ongoing process keeping up with new knowledge and technology.

I have worked at this practice for nearly 25 years. I started as a receptionist but now have an extensive knowledge of all things optical. I do all the spectacle frame purchasing and manage the stock. I aim to assist customers to find a frame to suit their personality, budget, lens requirements and face shape.

I have completed the “Essilor Eyes in Retail Optical Certificate”. I can do any of the “in – house” repairs, and answer most phone queries.

I have been employed at Papanui Eyes for seven years now. My main focus is administration and reception, and keeping everyone in line! I have lived in this area for many years and see familiar faces coming in the door. I enjoy working in a friendly, community-based environment.
